Pavamana K.J is a PhD student at the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, working with Prof. Chandramani Singh. He obtained his B.Tech degree in Telecommunication Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Before joining IISc, he worked as an intern in IISc- TCS Innovation lab, SID, IISc, where he worked on smart wearables project. His research interests are in restless multi-armed bandits in caching networks. His research revolves around designing a caching policy efficiently to enhance the services given to the users by providing faster connectivity and lower latency. Currently, he is working on showing threshold optimal policy,  proving the indexability of restless bandits and developing algorithms to find whittle indices.
