The 3GPP standard introduced service-based architecture for 5G Core. The vision of cloud native 5G is to transform 5G network architectural entities to network of functions that supports new services. This talk will give an overview of cloud-native approach to 5G network slicing its opportunities for new services.
Dr. Rajiv Misra is working in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India. He obtained his Ph.D degree from IIT Kharagpur, M.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, and BE in Computer Science from MNIT Allahabad. His research interests spans 5G Network Slicing, Cloud Computing, Big Data and Wireless Networks. He has authored a text book on Cloud and Distributed System -Wiley and offered online MOOCs on NPTEL/SWAYAM in Cloud and Distributed Computing, Big Data Computing. He is chief investigator of MeitY funded R&D project based on 5G Network Slicing for new services.
