Fostering Rural Connectivity

# 79

Abstract

Advances in wireless communications have propelled the upliftment of socio-economic standard of living around the globe. However, broadband coverage in rural areas of the developing countries is still significantly low. In this talk, we will take a look at some of the different technologies being proposed to connect the rural populace and discuss the research work being carried out at IIT Ropar in this direction.
